PM directs Malik to restore peace in Karachi

PM Gilani has directed interior minister to help to Sindh govt to restore peace in Karachi.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad on Wednesday and apprised him about law and order situation in the country in general and Karachi in particular.


The prime minister expressed grave concern over killing of innocent people by miscreants in Karachi and directed to extend all possible help to the Sindh Government to restore peace in Karachi.



He also directed all federal agencies to track down the culprits. He said perpetrators of heinous crime must be brought to justice at the earliest.



Commerce Minister Amin Faheem also called on the prime minister and discussed political situation of the country.



He apprised the prime minister about encouraging outcome of the talks with members of Turkish delegation.



The prime minister hoped that vigorous pursuit of the trade diplomacy will further strengthen relations between the two countries. .
