MQM may rejoin government by Eidul Fitr

Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad met PPP leader Senator Babar Awan on Saturday and agreed that a working relationship should be established between the PPP and MQM and that the political and administrative steps should be taken for harmony and stability in Karachi. Talking to the media after the meeting, Dr. Ebad said the country is suffering due to political turbulence and steps would be taken to protect the country and its institutions.

He added that other elements are taking advantage of political differences and these are being exploited to disrupt peace in Karachi.

Babar Awan said that President Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain are working to strengthen democratic institutions.

Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday invited Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to rejoin the government, promising to address its demands and concerns.
